How to install, update and remove Wendfold. Short, plain steps for club officers.

Before you start

  • A Joomla 6.2 site running PHP 8.3 or newer
  • An administrator login for that site
  • A recent backup of your site (always a good idea)

Install

  1. Download the pkg_wendfold zip from the Download page.
  2. In your Joomla admin, go to System → Install → Extensions.
  3. Upload the zip file. Joomla installs everything in one go.
  4. Open Wendfold from the Components menu to start setting up your club.

Update

  1. Back up your site.
  2. Go to System → Update → Extensions.
  3. If a Wendfold update is listed, tick it and click Update.

You can also install a newer zip over the top of the old one, the same way as a fresh install.

Uninstall

  1. Back up your site, and export anything you want to keep.
  2. Go to System → Manage → Extensions and search for “Wendfold”.
  3. Tick the Wendfold package and click Uninstall.
